Heads up, entrepreneurs and people who are interested in possibly becoming crowdfunding investors: The State of North Carolina has published proposed rules for investing based on the legislation passed last year.
Public comments can be submitted beginning Feb. 7.
The deadline for submissions is Feb. 27.
A public hearing about the law and proposed rules is set for Feb. 15, according to an announcement from the NC Secretary of State’s office.
The office also says that there are differences between the proposed NC rules and federal rules approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
