Bob Geolas, the former CEO of the Research Triangle Park Foundation, has joined HR&A Advisors, a real estate and economic consulting firm.

Geolas will work out of HR&A’s Raleigh office.

“I am enormously proud to be joining such a well-respected team of talented and thoughtful leaders,” Geolas said in the announcement. “HR&A provides the ideal platform to serve our universities, our great cities and our diverse communities as they imagine and build new centers of innovation to promote dynamic and robust economies.”

His appointment was announced Monday.

“Mr. Geolas brings his vision of placemaking as a public service to HR&A, where he will work with public, private, and university clients to deliver economic growth and real estate strategies that enhance assets and communities,” the firm explained.

Geolas was named a partner.

“Bob is a bold, visionary, and thoughtful leader,” said HR&A Advisors Chairman John Alschuler in the announcement. “He has the rare ability to inspire while pursuing practical steps to get something built – uniting real estate savvy, discipline, and political skill.”

Geolas left his RTP Foundation post in September. He had been tasked with implementing a new strategic plan when he departed in a dispute that neither he nor the Foundation’s board of directors has chosen to discus.

HR&A has offices in New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Raleigh, and Washington, DC.

The Raleigh office works with national and international clients with a focus on the Carolinas and southeastern United States.
