Martine Rothblatt, who underwent sex reassignment surgery in 1994 and is CEO of United Therapeutics, has taken a position against the controversial transgender law known as House Bill 2.

“Of course I think that the law is misplaced because I personally believe that there is no problem here and I’m kind of a limited government person – don’t make a problem where there’s no problem,” Rothblatt told The News and Observer.

Citing a report from Renaissance Capital, the Triangle Business Journal says Viamet Pharmaceuticals in Durham is putting off an $90 million IPO.

“The drug developer had planned to raise roughly $90 million through an IPO [last] week, but postponed the offering this week, according to Renaissance. Viamet filed to offer 5.7 million shares at a price range of $14 to $16,” the newspaper said.

Yves Guillemot, the CEO of Ubisoft, believes that streaming is the future of gaming, according to The Escapist.

“Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot thinks that the future of consoles will take an even more drastic route: one where we don’t even really have hardware and it’s all streamed directly to our TVs (a-la OnLive),” The Escapist says.
