Tech calendar highlights include Internet of Things programs

Three events from NC RIoT (NC Regional Internet of Things) highlight upcoming events on the region’s tech calendar. Plus, don’t forget WRAL TechWire’s “Full Steam Ahead Awards” party.

The NC RIoT events

“Developer Day”

April 21, 8 am – 4 pm, IBM Fitness and Recreation Facility

RIoT ED Developer Day brings together the top hardware and software companies with our region’s developer and engineering workforce. This half day workshop is a hands-on event, and a chance to touch, feel, and learn about the latest technologies from the companies and teams building them.

This event is specifically for software and hardware engineers, the product teams that they work with, and will be highly technical.

Host sponsor is IBM, and the event takes place at their Recreation Center in RTP. We are limited to 125 attendees for Developer Day.

8am – Doors open and registration
9am – RIoT Intro and Welcome
9:10am – Keynote by IBM’s Chris O’Connor, GM of IOT
9:30 – 10:45 – Workshop 1
11:00 – 12:15 – Workshop 2
12:15 – 12:45 – Lunch
1:00 – 2:15 – Workshop 3
2:15 – 3:30 – Workshop 4

Workshops: Attendees will choose to attend 3-4 concurrent 90 minute sessions. This will give engineers plenty of time speak with representatives from the participating companies and to get hands-on time with their products.
