Especially interesting are the pair of West Coast startups creating Durham development teams. Recently acquired by PopSugar, this New York City startup with UNC-Chapel Hill roots and a Cary-based investor is hiring a development team in Durham, with five positions for senior and junior developers and front-end and QA engineers. Cosmic Cart pairs publishers with e-commerce retailers to easily sell products through content. Here are the jobs.

A developer is needed at this Durham agency that specializes in converting website visitors to customers. Here’s the job description—as a bonus, the winning candidate gets a pair of headphones to block out all the marketing speak.

KnowledgeTree

Organic snacks, craft brews and recruitment bonuses are among the perks at this Raleigh software startup that helps sales teams determine the best marketing materials for each potential client. Open positions cover sales, development and operations. Apply here.

Pendo

After landing an $11 million Series A, this Raleigh software startup is doubling the size of its team in 2016. Here’s a chance to work with serial entrepreneurs in enterprise software with the backing of Silicon Valley investors. Jobs include front and back end engineers, customer success, business development, sales, UX/UI and graphic design.

PRSONAS

Virtual holograms are a new way to engage customers and partners at conferences and events and in retail settings, and this Durham startup is a leader in the technology that powers them. A new UX designer will get the chance to take part in a fast-growing startup while designing hologram experiences for some of the biggest brands in the world. Apply here.

SignalFx

With customers like Yelp, Hubspot and Zenefits, this Silicon Valley startup is providing new ways to monitor site operations and usage and the performance of modern applications. It’s also growing an East Coast operation in Durham with several software engineering jobs open already. SignalPath

This Durham startup is early-stage (having just raised $3 million) but with a big goal of cutting the cost of clinical trials in half. Senior software, quality assurance and front end engineers as well as an e-learning specialist are needed to help achieve this goal of making clinical research efficient, timely and collaborative on site. Job descriptions are here.

Spreedly

The Durham company taking advantage of an influx of paying for stuff using a mobile phone is fast acquiring retail, travel and other customers that transact business digitally. It also raised $2.5 million from European investors last year to add 23 people to its team. Data science, engineering, UX design and sales and strategic partnership positions are open now. A perk for this company—paid maternity and paternity leave and an open vacation policy. Take off when you want.

Tanium 

Another California startup with its sights on the Triangle, cybersecurity startup Tanium says it offers “Google-like search for your IT data” with a 15-second turnaround even across global networks. The father-son founding team has more than half of its $260 million in funding from powerhouse VC fund Andreessen Horowitz. A couple software engineering positions are open locally as this company prepares to open an office in Durham. More details here
