FromExitEvent: Alex Osadzinski is a lifelong lover of technology (i.e. a geek) with a passion for building, growing and managing teams and companies. Alex was born in the UK, where he studied math and computer science at school, and then was a founder of two tech startups, both of which were acquired by larger competitors. He ran sales for AT&T’s Unix products in Europe, before joining Sun Microsystems to start their European marketing function. Alex moved to Silicon Valley in 1991 with Sun, where he managed marketing and product strategy. Then he did a turnaround on a video equipment company, Grass Valley, followed by three more startups – Be, Vitria and Katmango – with two big IPOs and one gently smoking crater. He hopes fervently that he learned as much from failure as from success. Alex then spent 7 years at a top-tier Silicon Valley venture firm, before returning to an operational exec role at a large public Swiss company. Tickets are $10. RSVP required.
