The Center for Creative Economy (CCE) will host the Triad Design Leadershop in Winston-Salem on September 30 – October 1. This transformative keynote and workshop series features the theme, “Innovating the Business of Your Life” with guest Keynote and Workshop leader, Wendy Castleman of Intuit, makers of QuickBooks, Quicken, and TurboTax.

It will be held at The Center for Design Innovation, 450 Design Ave., Winston-Salem, NC.

The schedule:

Wed.Sept. 30th, doors open and self-guided tours at 5:00pm with the Keynote at 6:00pm. A reception follows at 7:00pm. In Keynote, Castleman will introduce Intuit’s “Design for Delight” methodology, share their story of success, and how to apply these to your business.

Thurs. Oct. 1st, 8:30am to 5:00pm Hands on Innovation workshop. Participants of the Innovation Workshop will receive hands-on experience in applying these skills, focusing on rapid experimentation for testing key assumptions in developing ideas.

Wendy Castleman is renowned as the creative, passionate, caring design-thinking leader who heads the Innovation Catalysts at Intuit. As one of the founding Intuit Innovation Catalysts, Wendy’s strengths include teaching and inspiring others to use proven innovation methods for positive change and business success.

She has been a Design Research Strategist at Intuit for over 12 years, and previously worked at Remedy, Motorola, Philips and Lucent. Her expertise cross Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Experience Design, and Research. She has a PhD in Cognitive and Perceptual Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and over 20 years of experience helping teams create awesome product experiences.
