EMC names Carol Flack to lead its Triangle operations

Massachusetts-based EMC (NYSE:EMC), the digital storage company, has replaced Bob Hawkins, recently retired head of its Triangle operations, with Carol Flack. EMC has 1,425 employees at its locations in Apex and Durham.

The Triangle Business Journal points out that the company faces increasing competition not only from traditional competitors such as NetApp, but also from younger firms such as Nimble Storage.

Flack was previously senior director of service, strategy and operations at EMC and has been with the company about nine years. She also founded Bridge Street Toys in the Boston area, according to her Linkedin profile.
