Riot will hold the first North Carolina Hackathon focused on the Internet of Things at NC State’s Centennial Campus, Oct. 2-4.

Anyone can attend, the organizers say, adivsing, “Pitcyh your ide4a to the audience…form teams and go build.\

Hackers compete not only for fame and glory, but also for a spot at a weekend Groundwork Labs accelerator, especially designed for Internet of Things companies.

Hardware, software, food & bev, and mentorship provided for the entire weekend. That’s a bargain for $75 (standard ticket) and $25 (student rate).

This event was born from direct feedback from the RIoT community, with numerous member companies chipping in to make it a reality: Bright Wolf, Device Solutions, ST Microelectronics, ASSIST, Smashing Boxes, Groundwork Labs, Reveal Mobile, and the Wireless Research Center of NC.
