Carusele, a startup focusing on social media content creation, is off to a fast start. The company is aiming for $2 million in sales in its first year, and investors have put another $500,000 into the firm.
Carusele is a spinout from Ignite Social Media.
The company’s premise:
Carusele produces “Content Everywhere,” a slogan it has trademarked.
“Carusele is a new Ignite Social Media Company that utilizes our handcrafted network of over 5,000 content producers to create high-quality, sharable, branded content and then actively manages it through organic syndication, paid syndication and aggregation. The result is scaled, targeted audience reach throughout social media.”
Its approach has delivered “over 40 programs already for clients including several of the world’s largest brands and retailers,” according to the company, which emerged from stealth mode earlier this year.
“Content marketing across social media, with guaranteed scale and guaranteed eyeballs, is incredibly difficult for brands to produce on their own,” said Jim Tobin, who is president of Ignite Social Media and Carusele, in announcing the funding.
“What we’ve done is packaged it up as a media buy, so it’s simple to buy, while focusing on high quality content creation. We then let the social web grade all the content, allowing us to syndicate the best performing pieces among them. It’s driving measurable results for our clients, including repeated examples of increased sales.”
The company says it has created a “handcrafted network of over 5,000 content producers to create high-quality, sharable, branded content and then actively manages it through organic syndication, paid syndication and aggregation.”
Clients include ConAgra Foods, Walgreens, On the Border, Staples and Lenovo.
