Joe Zawadzki, CEO of MediaMath and pioneer in the online advertising industry, has invested an undisclosed amount in Durham’s AdWerx via his investment firm, Occam’s Razor.

AdWerx CEO Jed Carlson said in a press release that he has been following Zawadzki for years as an industry thought leader, so he finds this investment “personally rewarding.”

Zawadzki’s career has been dedicated to the re-engineering of marketing through technology and quantitative science, having founded [x+1], incubated Right Media (Yahoo!) and as an active investor in companies including Appnexus, Dataminr, Integral Ad Science, Moat, mParticle, Namely, Optoro and Vidible (AOL).

AdWerx provides digital advertising to over 15,000 real estate customers across all 50 states. Up to now a Web-based service, it is launching a new mobile version.
