“Our site plan for Park Center is complete,” wrote RTP Foundation CEO Bob Geolas in a recent email. “We will be moving forward on site work next year.”

And on Jan. 15 the public is invited to see what RTP’s leaders have been up to as they unveil “The Frontier” on Jan. 15 at 4 p.m.

Less than a year after acquiring a 100-acre tract of land along I-40, the Foundation will showcase the hub of its massive redevelopment project that bGeolas believes can produce as much as $3 billion in investment and 100,000 jobs.

The Frontier building is sponsored, in effect, by Frontier Communications which is building a fiber network in the Park to bring gigabit and faster Internet to customers. Frontier first disclosed its connections to the building and its support in October.

The Foundation disclosed the unveiling in an invitation announcement post Tuesday:

“Come celebrate the launch of The Frontier with RTP team!

“The new convening space at the heart of RTP – and the Park Center redevelopment – is the Triangle’s newest meeting spot for those looking for a place to plug in, or a new office location.

“The Frontier is the destination to launch your next big vision. There will be a short presentation by RTP President and CEO Bob Geolas starting at 4pm. Afterwards, attendees will be encouraged to grab a beer, take a tour of the space and stay a while (RTP 180 starts at 6pm, so feel free to stick around for the show).”

RTP 180 is a networking event sponsored by the Park.
