InMotionNow, a startup focused on workflow automation, has a new chairman who also is a familiar face.

Sean O’Leary, who already served on the board, succeeds investor Steve Vanderwoude.

O’Leary currenty works with Informatica, which recently acquired Triangle-based StrikeIron. He was StrikeIron’s CEO.

At inMotionNow, “Sean’s role is really to provide guidance and direction to help us reach our long-term goals,” a company spokesperson says.

“We are very excited to have Sean O’Leary lead the board,” Vanderwoude, a former telecom executive and one of the Triangle’s best-known angel capital investors. “His deep technology experience, specifically in guiding fast-growth technology companies, makes him well positioned to take over as chairman. Sean brings proven company development skills and an extensive network of peers in the Triangle and venture communities.”

O’Leary has more than 20 years experience as a technology executive.

“I am very excited to lead the InMotionNow board at a time when marketing technology is experiencing enormous growth,” said O’Leary in the announcement. “InMotionNow has developed a solution that uniquely meets the needs of marketing and creative teams. I am thrilled to be able to share my knowledge of the technology industry to guide InMotionNow to reach its goals for growth and product advancement.”
