RALEIGH, N.C. –Midstate Communications in South Dakota has selected NeoNova for new residential email services and several back-office network management upgrades.

NeoNova specializes in cloud-based services for regional telcos and managed cloud services providers.

Midstate Communications provides phone, cable, Internet, network services and hardware services to subscriber lines and broadband customers throughout central South Dakota. The company services 11 exchanges and roughly 5,000 subscribers.

The agreement with Midstate expands NeoNova’s nationwide footprint to 41 states.

On the residential side, customers will now access their email via the Pronto! Web interface, or they can continue to use the email client of their choice. Customers will also now be able to use NeoNova’s proprietary App Portal, which provides quick and easy access to email, calendars, file storage and popular applications.

From a back-office standpoint, Midstate will implement the Google Apps for Business suite of communication tools along with NovaDesk for 24×7 customer support, and NovaAdmin for integrated subscriber management.

“NeoNova is pleased to now be a part of Midstate Communication’s 60-plus year history,” said Chris Benyo, vice president, sales and marketing, NeoNova. “The overhaul of technology that Midstate Communications is introducing to their customers as well as their employees will help increase efficiencies while maintaining affordable prices.”

As a full-service technology arm for the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC), NeoNova enables rural ISPs and small-to medium-sized businesses to take care of their customers and break the “digital divide” between rural and urban markets.

Last week, NeoNova also signed new customers in Missouri and Florida with more expected to be announced this week.
