Six startups, including five from the Triangle, will go head-to-head for $30,000 in prize money at the “Big Launch Challenge” on Thursday.

They also will be vying for the interest of potential investors.

NanoBrew Laboratories, a startup located in Hillsborough, was added to the presentation list when another firm dropped out.

The “Big Launch Challenge” is being put on jointly by the First Flight Venture Center in RTP and The Launch Place in Danvilla, Va. The showcase, which will include 30 minutes for each of the finalists to present and to take questions, will be hosted by Launch Place in Danville, Va.

The competition starts at 1 p.m.

Two winners will receive $15,000 each.

Finalists from 31 applicants include: 3F LLC, INRFOOD, NanoBrew Laboratories, Reynolds-Clark Development, Rheomics, and Sanitation Creations.
