Business is growing at social media analysis firm ArchiveSocial, but not everyone need apply. CEO Anil Chawla talks about the qualities he is seeking. Many of those would be found at other startups, too.

But before getting to the specific qualities, here is a look at the jobs Chawla has to fill.

Featured as a “Cool Vendor” by research firm Gartner, ArchiveSocial is one busy place. Hiring additional people is part of what is keeping Chawla and his team hopping.

“Thanks for asking because we are definitely hiring,” he says when queried about jobs.

“We are hiring two critical roles right now:

“One: The first is for a Digital Marketing Manager who can drive marketing strategy, and spearhead a variety of marketing activities focused on lead generation. Content creation is at at the core of this role given the need to elevate ArchiveSocial as the thought leader in our industry. For the right person, this opportunity could lead to a senior marketing role in our company.

“Two: We are also hiring for a Full Stack Software Engineer who can create magic across both the front-end and back-end, and is well-versed in Java. Our company’s success is fundamentally based on our technology, so it is critical that we hire extraordinary engineers to join our core team and build the next phase of our product.

We Want You But …

Now, let’s talk about the qualifications.

What qualifications are you looking for in people beyond technical skills and a solid resume?

“The startup environment is not for everyone, but it can be the most fulfilling experience of one’s career,” says Chawla, who worked in the corporate world at IBM before striking out on his own.

“We look for people who can bring enough experience to teach us new things, but also crave growth and learning, and can thrive in an extremely dynamic environment.

“Our company is very collaborative and we are constantly self improving.

“We want someone to join our company because this is an opportunity to realize their full potential, and condense several years of growth into one crazy roller coaster ride.”

Sounds like fun, eh?
