It’s official: The Southeast Venture Conference has set the dates for its annual conference.

TechMedia, the parent firm that puts on SEVC along with other Internet and technology related events, will put on the eighth annual investor event on May 6-7 in Atlanta.

The venue is the Ritz-Carlton.

SEVC says it will include presentations from 50 startups and emerging companies. The selection process is now underway.

Interested firms must fill out an application. The deadline to submit is March 28.

As WRALTechWire reported three weeks ago, TechMedia moved back the conference from March to accommodate logistical issues. Eric Gregg, co-founder of TechMedia, said at the time that he wanted to do the show in April.

The list of events for 2014 reflects a “crazy busy” schedule, as Gregg describe the firm’s agenda for the year:

  • March 31-April 1: DigitalSummit in Phoenix
  • May 6-7: SEVC in Atlanta
  • June 17-18: DigitalSummit in Denver
  • October: DigitalEast, details to be announced
  • November: InternetSummit in Raleigh
  • December: Digital Summit in Dallas

SEVC brings in nationally known speakers, always draws a big crowd, and attracts a lot of investors from across the country – especially Washington D.C. as well as the Valley.

SEVC took place last year in Charlotte for the first time.
