ChannelAdvisor (NYSE: ECOM) has appointed a new executive to lead the e-commerce software company’s efforts to build partnerships in China.

As managing director for Greater China, James Huang will help retailers and manufacturers understand how to use the Morrisville company’s software platform to sell their products. Before joining ChannelAdvisor, Huang was chairman and and CEO of MerchantRun Holdings Limited, a Shanghai, China-based e-commerce software company that Huang led to an acquisition. Huang then worked as managing director of overseas business development for 4PX, a China-based logistics and e-commerce supply chain company.

Huang’s appointment follows the opening earlier this year of new ChannelAdvisor offices in Hong Kong.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to lead ChannelAdvisor in this region as it continues to accelerate its pace of innovation in e-commerce,” Huang said in a statement. “It’s an exciting time to be in this industry and I look forward to working with our customers and partners to build on the excellent work the team has already achieved.”

Annual Conference

ChannelAdvisor on Wednesday also announced the agenda for its Catalyst Americas conference scheduled for March 10-12 at the Wynn Las Vegas.

The theme for this year’s conference is “E-Commerce. Accelerated.” It will will focus on topics such as rapid access to new sources of demand, global expansion and performance-based analytics.This agenda this year is broken into three tracks — Fundamental, Expansion and Vision — in order to cover a range of topics for online retailers.

Sessions include:

  • “Your Blueprint for Online Growth”
  • “Building a Successful Search Marketing Strategy”
  • “Distribution Digest: Your Inside Track to Fulfillment”
  • “Inside the Mind of the Consumer”
