INC Research is now part of a credentialing program that standardizes training of clinical research associates, or CRAs, and the clinical research organization, or CRO, is now the first accredited training center in the United States.

Raleigh-based INC said it is the first global CRO to implement the Clinical Research Monitor Accreditation program, a clinical research monitoring program offered through the International Academy of Clinical Research (IAoCR).

INC says that by ensuring that its CRA’s meet the credentialing standards, the company is in a better position to reduce risks to patients and while also reducing error rates.

The IAoCR was launched in 2011. INC will train its CRAs, beginning with entry-level monitors, according to the new IAoCR program, a process spanning two to three months including field tests.
