Online jobs network JobHive has launched a fundraising round targeting $4 million.

The Raleigh startup has raised $456,000 so far, according to securities filings. A total of 21 investors have participated in the round so far.

JobHive is led by founding partners Jared Fuller, CEO, and Brian Beckman, CTO.

The company’s website says a launch is coming soon; jobseekers can request an invitation to join its job network.

In a video posted on the site, Fuller explains that online job searches are outdated. Monster.com and CareerBuilder offer just “an overpriced job listing.”

Without going into detail, Fuller says JobHive system can sort through characteristics and get a jobseeker’s application in front of employers.

For employers, JobHive promises to get the right applicant in front of them.
