3D technologies firm 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD), the company that bought Morrisville-based Geomagic earlier this year, is making another buy.

The Rock Hill, S.C. company has acquired TeamPlatform, a California company that has developed a cloud-based collaborative design software. 3D Systems plans to integrate the TeamPlatform technology into its offerings, including the offerings of Geomagic and Cubify.com, its online marketplace for 3D designs.

Financial terms for the TeamPlatform acquisition were not disclosed. The acquisition of Geomagic, a maker of 3D software, was announced in January. Shortly after that deal closed in March, 3D Systems disclosed it paid $55 million to buy the company.

The TeamPlatform software allows product design, engineering services and manufacturing companies to manage hundreds of small or large projects with masses of data shared and used concurrently.
