Sprint on Monday formally launched 4G high-speed wireless service in Durham and four other North Carolina markets.
The availability of 4G – the latest form of wireless based on so-called long-term evolution technology – now covers much of North Carolina from multiple providers, including AT&T and Verizon with T-Mobile also adding markets.
Sprint was the last major provider to offer coverage in the Triangle.
Also added to Sprint’s North Carolina coverage were:
- Fayetteville
- Rocky Mount
- Greenville
- Wilson
