Will I or won’t I ride the very fast slide to the basement?

That was one of the questions entrepreneurs and guests had to ask themselves Thursday night as Durham’s newest startup hub formally opened its doors.

The Underground@Main in Durham – an expansionn from The American Underground at the nearby American Tobacco Historic District – hosted its grand opening with a crowd of more than 450 people turning out.

WRALTechWire Insiders were there, and we have exclusive photos of what’s inside the new startup hub – from a 50-foot slide that some people wouldn’t ride to a virtual greeter to a truly “safe” meeting room.

Read Joe Procopio’s coverage about the importance of the new venue at 201 W. Main.
