Quintiles’s (NYSE:Q) clinical trials software has secured recognition for its use and application at a large scale.

The Durham pharmaceutical services provider was one of the winners of the 2013 Informatics Innovation Awards, which recognize companies and organizations who use software from Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ:INFA). More than 5,000 companies and organizations were eligible for awards in 12 categories. Quintiles won in the “Enterprise Data Integration” category for its Infosario software.

Infosario provides analysis of clinical trial data in real time, allowing the company to make faster and better-informed decisions about a clinical trial.

“We are honored to have Quintiles Infosario recognized as one of the world’s leading data integration solutions,” Quintiles CIO Richard Thomas said in a statement.
