The Local Library team is the winner of the CityCamp NC competition.

Judges selected Local Library after viewing six presentations from teams competing in the annual event, which was expanded from aRaleigh to a statewide focus this year.

Local Library focused on “a more natural search interface” for Wake County Library’s book catalog.

The winners receive $3,000 and plus a consulting session with Jason Caplain of venture capital firm Bull City Venture Partners.

Geo*Build finished second and Pulse Point third.

Also presenting in the finals were “Let’s Meet NC” and “Education Connectors.”

Formerly called CityCamp Raleigh, the event promotes citizen participation and government transparency. Now in its third year CityCamp took place at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library on the N.C. State University Campus.

Second and third team prizes of $1,000 and $500, respectively. For more information, go online.
