Much of the media attention focused on Bandwidth of late has been on either its move to the former Red Hat headquarters on N.C. State’s Centennial Campus or the launch and growth of its wireless service called Republic.

But at the same time the privately held company continues to grow its telecommunications and network businesses.

On Monday, Bandwidth said it had expanded its management team with three additions.

Ken Grelckhas hired to lead sales for the company’s wholesale and enterprise business as Senior Vice President of Sales at Bandwidth. He worked formerly at Calix and Nortel.

Brent Mello is the vice president of Origination and Messaging Products. He has also worked at Level 3 and IntelePeer.

Ryan Henley is the new vice president of Custom Operations. He has previous experience as a consultant for Advanced Technology Group.

Bandwidth offers a variety of telecommunications and network services ranging from its own nationwide broadband network to 9-1-1, voice and SMS [simple messaging system].

“We’ve had a banner couple years in our wholesale and enterprise business,” said Steve Leonard, EVP and General Manager, Bandwidth. “We’ve experienced 31 percent growth in revenue in 2012, expanded our product portfolio and have become the de facto choice for providers seeking to do innovative things with voice and SMS. Along the way, we’ve grown our team, bringing in leaders from around the industry. We’re continuing that today, adding key leaders for sales, product and customer support. All three have deep industry experience and relationships – they’ll be a huge asset and a great complement to the talents of our existing leadership team.”
