Chimerix, a biopharmaceutical company in Research Triangle Park, announced Friday it has filed federal paperwork for an initial public offering of common stock.
Morgan Stanley and Cowen and Co. are acting as joint managers for the offering. William Blair and Lazard Capital Markets are co-managers.
The company said it registered for the stock with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, but the registration has not yet become effective.
Chimerix specializes in the development of oral antiviral drugs.
