The deadline for emerging startups to apply for potential backing from Triangle Startup Factory is rapidly approaching. A Q&A session is set for entrepreneurs who have questions about the Startup Factory process.

Partners Dave Neal and Chris Heivly will host the Q&A on Jan. 15.

The deadline to apply for the spring session is Jan. 20.

Companies selected – usually five – will receive $50,000 in capital, office support, mentoring and other services. Startupsare also eligible to receive additional funding.

Here’s how the Q&A session will work, according to Heivly:

“On the evening of the Q&A, you will tweet your questions to @TriangleSF with #TSFSpring. Chris & Dave will read all of your tweets, and answer them for all who dial-in to hear. The audio will be one way: you can hear us, but we can’t hear you. We will be setting up the dial-in number a couple of days before the Q&A and will send this information to all registered attendees. So please, do not wait to sign up if you plan on participating.”
