CARY, N.C. – , a provider of e-procurement services and is preparing to go public with a stock offering, has a new chief financial officer.
Rudy Howard, a former CFO at MDS Pharma Services, joins SciQuest as the privately held firm tries to launch an initial public offering. SciQuest had been a public company but then was taken private.
After executing an IPO in 1999, the company reverted to private status in 2004. SciQuest is looking to raise some $75 million through the IPO.
One of SciQuest’s owners in venture capital firm Intersouth Partners in Durham.
Howard has more than 30 years of experience in finance, investment banking and accounting.
“His experience in a broad range of industries and companies, from startups to established multi-national corporations, will be a great asset to SciQuest in the healthcare, higher education, government and life sciences sectors we serve,” said SciQuest Chief Executive Officer Stephen Wiehe about Howard.
Howard also has worked for Peopleclick, Pharmaceutical Product Development and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University.
