Sustainable Textile Group LLC will take over the vacant Hanes facility in China Grove and produce yarns from regenerated fibers.
The textile operation will create 223 jobs during the next two years. If the company meets those goals, it will receive a $300,000 grant from the state. The new jobs will pay an annual average wage of $29,141, not including benefits.
Joy Nunn, founder and CEO of Circle LLC, says it is their goal to produce items that are first of all better products, cost the same or less, and are sustainable. She says Sustainable Textiles Group is able to re-open a closed textile facility and offer job opportunities to hundreds of North Carolinians.
