Red Hat and HP are teaming up to open a high-performance testing lab that will focus on enterprise storage, HP servers and Red Hat Linux.

The companies said Wednesday that the lab would be based in Raleigh, where Red Hat is based.

The announcement follows an earlier decision by HP and Red Hat to package other storage applications, including Red Hat’s Global File System and HP’s Serviceguard.

“Tested, proven and certified solutions are essential for enterprise customers, especially when it comes to deploying storage,” said Todd Barr, director of Red Hat Storage Solutions. “Through this new joint integration lab, we will demonstrate the value and performance of our integrated storage solutions from top to bottom. Red Hat and HP are proving together, once again, that we are focusing on delivering best-in-class Linux solutions that can simplify, and genuinely improve our customers’ IT infrastructures.”
