Mark Lewis, the executive vice president of open software for EMC Corp., will be one of NCEITA’s keynote speakers at its 10th Annual Information Technology forum, “A CEO Conversation: Insight to Innovation,” on March 17.

Lewis’ keynote presentation will showcase Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), which is a better way to manage information from the time it is created until the moment it is disposed of. Lewis will give EMC’s perspective on how ILM can change the industry and companies.

At EMC, Lewis oversees the development and delivery of the company’s open software portfolio and has led its expansion with the 2003 acquisitions of Legato, Documentum, and VMware. He joined EMC in July 2002 from HP/Compaq, where he was VP and general manager of Compaq’s Enterprise Storage Group, the second largest storage organization in the world after EMC. Prior to that, he spent 13 years in storage-related engineering and product development at Digital Equipment Corp.
