“HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!”

So reads the Facebook update for a pair of Raleigh entrepreneurs.

“We’re going to be on ABC’s hit show, Shark Tank!! Will we be eaten alive by the Sharks in the tank?! Will the Sharks give Frill a bid?!

“We can’t wait for you to find out! Tune in to ABC on Friday, March 6th at 8|7c to find out!”

Kate Steadman and Sharon Bui posted the news at Facebook.

Their venture http://frillclothing.com/ dates to 2012 when they were still in college.

Frill Clothing is a Raleigh startup focusing on custom clothing, is about to receive tremendous international exposure – and perhaps land some high-profile investors.

So what’s the thrill about Frill?

“We design custom clothing with charity in mind! Check out our featured designs for Sorority Recruitment and Bridal Parties!”

In other words:

“We custom design skirts, tops and dresses for recruitment and give a portion of our proceeds to charity!”

How’s the process work? Says Frill:

1) Pick a style or describe what you are looking for and we will custom design it
2) Pick a fabric and color
3) Tell us what philanthropy you support

“And we will give you the products you designed + a check to your philanthropy!!”
