RALEIGH, N.C. – Time Warner Cable will feature hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities and demonstrations at both the North Carolina and South Carolina State Fair as part of its philanthropic initiative Connect a Million Minds (CAMM).

The North Carolina State Fair runs Oct. 11-21. The South Carolina State Fair runs Oct. 10-21.

Time Warner Cable will be partnering with several of its CAMM partners to engage and educate students and their families with fun, interactive activities while highlighting the importance of STEM education.

Connect a Million Minds is Time Warner CAMM is a five-year, $100 million cash and in-kind philanthropic initiative to address America’s declining proficiency in science, technology, engineering and math which puts children at risk of not competing successfully in a global economy.

All of the Time Warner Cable STEM events and activities are free of charge for fair goers.

North Carolina State Fair

All activities for the North Carolina State Fair will take place at the TWC booth near Dorton Arena and Gate 2.

Monday

NC Science Festival and Morehead Planetarium & Science Center presents “SCIENCE LIVE!” (live science demos and interactive activities) from 2 to 5 p.m.

Tuesday

NC Science Festival and Morehead Planetarium & Science Center presents “SCIENCE LIVE!” (live science demos and interactive activities) from 2 to 5 p.m.

Wednesday

Museum of Natural Sciences presents “Pond Critter Palooza” (Aquatic insects and how they relate to water quality) from 2 to 5 p.m.

Activities at the South Carolina State Fair will take place in the Hampton and Ruff Buildings in Columbia.
