Moogfest unveiled Wednesday the full schedule planned for May's celebration of diversity and art through technology, forums, performances, classes, talents and music.

The future-focused festival hits Durham for four days, May 18-21, allowing attendees to engage in an ecosystem of ideas, experiments and specialized skills. The 2017 schedule includes more than 300 events such as creative workshops and classes, film screenings, interactive art experiences, sound installations and more in venues throughout Durham.

Ticket-holders can personalize their Moogfest schedules by registering for individual events starting on April 18.

Workshops, which are essential parts of the festival, will include classes on laughter meditation, building your own light theremin or square-wave oscillator, using laser projectors for generating abstract visuals, the basics of building modular patches for female and non-binary individuals and more. Attendees can also learn instrument design, discover how music can effect protests and interact with spacial sound at the festival.

The list of Moogfest performers is growing, but 260 committed artists have already signed up to participate, including Flying Lotus, Michael Stipe, Animal Collective, Gotye and more. Even Dr. Kate Shaw, an experimental particle physicist working on the ATLAS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, and Joe Davis, a pioneer in creating art with genes and bacteria at MIT Media Lab, will host discussions at Moogfest.

Festival passes can be purchased starting at $249.
