Global ecommerce services provider ChannelAdvisor is stepping up efforts to grow business in China with a new office in Hong Kong.

The operation will serve as the privately held company’s efforts hub for China.

“Establishing a physical presence in Hong Kong strengthens ChannelAdvisor’s connection to the Asia-Pacific region and will help us better serve our growing base of Chinese customers,” said ChannelAdvisor President David Spitz. “We recently hosted a Shenzhen Insite event for local e-commerce industry leaders—this is a savvy market, and we are excited to offer a platform that helps retailers and manufactures take their online businesses to the next level.”

ChannelAdvisor clients include Amazon, eBay, Newegg and Sears.

Citing industry research, ChannelAdvisor says China will be responsible for more than half of online spending across the Asia-Pacific in five years.
