Georgia Research Alliance venture fund closes on $18.75 million

The Georgia Research Alliance has closed on $18.75 million for a new venture capital fund targeting university-based spinouts.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle first reported the closing.

The GRA Venture Fund has a target of $30 million. It pools private and state funds.

Funds will be directed toward startups at the University of Georgia, Emory University, Georgia Tech and Georgia State University.
