UpSNAP Is Finalist in Two ‘Blue Diamond Award’ Categories

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UpSNAP, a provider of information and services for mobile phone users, is a finalist for two awards in the annual “Blue Diamond Awards.”

The competition is put on by the Charlotte Chamber Information Technology Charlotte council.

Winners will be selected in six different categories.

The awards will be presented on March 13.

The finalists are:

• Corporate Edition - Best Information Technology Business Value: Bank of America (Global HR Technology); Family Dollar (Future Point of Sale Project); Wachovia (RDC Product Suite)

• Corporate Edition - Best Information Technology Innovation: Coca Cola Bottling; Mecklenburg County GIS; Wachovia (Electronic Payment Broker Technology)

• Small to Medium Business - Best Information Technology Innovation: Patient Care Technology Systems, LLC; Synapse Technology, Inc.; UpSNAP

• Small to Medium Business - Best Information Technology Business Value: City of Charlotte Fire Dept; UpSNAP

• NPower - Non-profit Excellence in Information Technology: CC Communications - Wachovia Championship; Girl Scouts Hornets' Nest Council; Humane Society of Charlotte
