Hey Entrepreneurs, the Long-Term Play Can Take a Decade to Build

October 19 @ 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Network for Entrepreneurs of Wilmington

The Network for Entrepreneurs in Wilmington (NEW) will host two of the most respected entrepreneurs in North Carolina, who will explain their decade-long journey in building their companies.

NEW has two more excellent entrepreneurs to add to its impressive list of speakers. Usually, NEW features the fast and the furious with young entrepreneurs who are building in the five- to seven-year scaling process. This time, NEW will have more experienced entrepreneurs with products for larger markets.

  • Dr. Tony Atti – he is an actual rocket scientist (NASA), and more importantly, he is the entrepreneur behind Phononic. Phononic’s unrivaled approach to solid-state cooling uses semiconductor chips to deliver unrivaled temperature control and energy efficiency (and yes, he has been on CNBC). In 2021, Phononic announced a $50 million investment from Goldman Sachs and has raised previous rounds.
  • Richard West – Baebies has raised almost $100 million in capital and secured FDA approval. The company delivers early disease detection and comprehensive diagnostics through screening and testing platforms powered by digital microfluidics. Previously, West was a leader at Advanced Liquid Logic, which was sold to Illumina for $96 million. He has been involved in CED, NC IDEA and First Flight Venture Center.

Join NEW to learn from their experience.
