CHARLOTTE – The Western and Southern Open tennis tournament is considering moving to Charlotte’s River District. The $400 million project would include four stadiums, five match courts and 40 indoor clay tennis courts near the Catawba River that residents could use year-round. The prestigious tournament is currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
