RALEIGH – Pendo officially welcomed employees to its new headquarters location, five floors of leased property at 301 Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, this morning.

The company previously told WRAL TechWire it planned for employees to work from the space beginning today.

In a public post, published yesterday on LinkedIn, executive marketing consultant Jennifer Sikora posted photos taken from inside the building, noting “we got a sneak peek.”

The company selected the building for its headquarters location in 2019 and reportedly signed a seven-year lease, according to prior WRAL TechWire reporting.  At that time, the company anticipated that some 900 workers could occupy the leased facility, though the company only disclosed “nearly 250” in Raleigh in May 2019.

Jobs and talent

Last week, a spokesperson for Pendo told WRAL TechWire that the company now employs 458 people who are based in the Triangle, and continues to hire, with some 100 positions open globally.  According to a search of the tech unicorn’s careers website, 66 roles are open in the Triangle.  There are seven additional remote roles, according to the careers webpage.

The company raised a Pendo logo sign and affixed it to the top of the 19-story tower in October 2021, prior to the City of Oaks marathon held in Raleigh in early November, an event the company sponsored.

Pendo CEO Todd Olson told an audience at a January 2022 event hosted by the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce that culture matters when it comes to competing for top talent in today’s labor market.

“Talent is top of mind for everyone right now,” said Olson in his presentation.  “It’s a weird job market right now, you think about the last few years where we’ve gone from when the pandemic hits going to record unemployment to very rapid overemployment, so to speak, where there are so many jobs available, but no workers, and it feels very, very hard to hire in this market.”
