RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – UX Y’all is an annual conference by Triangle UXPA, a nonprofit organization of User Experience professionals in the Raleigh/Durham area.

The mission of UX Y’all is to bring UX professionals together to share their knowledge and expertise, but anyone with an interest in tech and design – including project managers, developers, and information specialists – will find something valuable here

Last year, the two-day event hosted over 400 attendees, including professionals, academics, and students.

The theme for this year’s conference is “The Breaks.” Presenters are encouraged to interpret this theme broadly: to share their lucky breaks, experiences that caused them to put on the brakes, and tales of things they have broken (either by accident or design.)

The event encourages participants to consider what lessons can be learned from breaking apart systems, designs, culture, and our environments.

Topics this year are centered around:

  • AI
  • User Research
  • Accessibility
  •  Tech Ethics,
  • UX Process
  • Content Design

UX Y’all is a great opportunity for students and professionals to:

  • Hear inspiring keynote addresses from experts in the field
  • Learn from the challenges and successes of peers in the profession
  • Network with designers, researchers, and representatives from local companies

The UX Y’all conference takes place Thursday, October 5 and Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Raleigh Union Station, 510 W Martin St, Raleigh, NC.
