RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – The exclusive WRAL TechWire jobs report is tracking which companies are hiring in North Carolina.

New to the list this week is Toyota, which has eight North Carolina job openings posted.

The “Top 50” firms that TechWire tracks are a barometer of what’s happening in the Triangle tech sector, and all 50 companies on the list show job openings in the Triangle this week.

Overall, the hiring needs grew by more than 50 to over 1,900.

Job postings in Triangle are stabilizing, but nonprofit says many newcomers still struggle

Companies with over 100 job postings this week include Fidelity Investments (262 postings), First Citizens (148), Wolfspeed (111), Grifols (109), and Novo Nordisk (103).

Novo Nordisk also added the most jobs this week, with 16 new postings (103 postings total).

More IT-related openings with the NC Government

WRAL TechWire also has an exclusive roundup of job openings within NC government, and there are nine new IT-related job openings this week.

As of September 18, 2023, data tracked by TechWire’s exclusive jobs report shows:

  • 48 job openings (+/-0 from last week) in IT-related positions with the North Carolina state government (1,260 jobs total, +57 from last week)
  • 9 job openings (-3 from last week) in IT-related positions with Wake County government (45 jobs total, -14 from last week)
  • 4 job openings (+1 from last week) in IT-related positions with the City of Raleigh government (109 jobs total, +8 from last week)
