CHARLOTTE – Siemens Mobility has broken ground on its new Lexington plant, which plans to begin production in 2024 and expects to employ more than 500 people by 2028.
The new facility, on a 200-acre site, is estimated to add $1.6 billion to the state’s economy during the 12-year term of the grant.
