RALEIGH – The NC TECH Association kicks off its two-day State of Tech event today at the Raleigh Convention Center. Attendees will gather this afternoon beginning at 4:30 pm for the celebration of the inaugural NEXT TECH Awards which showcase the area’s rising stars of tech. NEXT TECH Awards are granted in three categories: Tech + Innovation, Tech Professional, and Sales + Marketing. This award was developed in partnership with Business North Carolina, and this year’s winners are showcased in the June edition of the magazine.

Tuesday begins a full day of sessions and activities. This year’s event focuses more on content and thought leadership, with anchoring keynotes from Robert High, CTO of Edge Computing for IBM, and closing on “Tech Talk” speaker Dr. James Lester, Director of the NC State Center for Educational Informatics. In between, attendees can check out the Start-up Showcase Panel, and select from break-out sessions on topics ranging from Data and AI to Security, to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).

The event wraps up with the announcement of the Startup Showcase Winner and ends at 2:30 pm.
