CONCORD – Krispy Kreme is closing a donut factory in Concord and cutting 102 jobs, the company says.

The job cuts were disclosed in a layoff notice filed with the state of North Carolina.

Layoffs will take effect May 11 and will be permanent, the company says.

“All employees who work at this facility will be separated,” the company said in a notice. “This action is expected to be permanent.”

The factory is located in Concord.

However, employees are not required to work through the May 11 date, Krispy Kreme said.  “[A]ll employees will continue to receive their regular pay and benefits” through May 11 unless they resigned or lose their jobs for reasons other than layoff,” the company added.
