Will the artificial intelligence app be required to “stand” when the judge enters the courtroom? In a first, AI is to help represent a client in a traffic case, reports New Scientist.

“The AI will run on a smartphone and listen to all speech in the courtroom in February before instructing the defendant on what to say via an earpiece,” the news site says.

The AI is from startup DoNotPay.
