RALEIGH – The Diversity Movement, a startup focusing on programs to help companies embrace diversity, equity and inclusion, or DEI, has secured a $125,000 investment – and more – from TiE Atlanta’s ACCESS program.

TiE Atlanta is part of the global Indus entrepreneurs organization.

The ACCESS program launched two years ago and aims to support what it calls “underrepresented founders.”

“The value of the TiE Atlanta ACCESS program goes beyond the actual funding, since the initiative gave us access to the TiE Global network and a series of coaches and mentors that helped us hone our pitch and messaging,” said Donald Thompson, chief executive officer at The Diversity Movement. “We continue to work with leaders in Atlanta and globally on additional funding opportunities, which are focused on helping underrepresented leaders create world-changing companies.”

TDM was one of six companies selected from 43 applicants to participate in the TiE program and participated in an investor showcase. TiE Atlanta Angels provides capital for the TiE initiative.

“The investment from the TiE ACCESS program will help The Diversity Movement fuel growth of its workplace learning platform,” Thompson added. “The company benefited from the mentoring and coaching we received throughout the process, which helped us further redefine and broaden our mission to make the world a better place through DEI programming and initiatives.”

The Diversity Movement offers a workplace learning program  that includes “resources needed to create, strengthen, or expand culture, including content, tools, analytics, and on-demand guidance.”
