So says a report from technology association CompTIA.

“North Carolina added the fourth largest number of technology jobs in 2021 among all states,” CompTIA says.

New data from the N.C. Technology Association certainly reflects that trend with high-tech job openings soaring to record highs this year.

  • The tech sector has an estimated direct economic impact of $44.7 billion, or 8.1% of the total state economy.
  • Net tech employment in North Carolina grew by 5,004 positions last year.
