RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – The Hub RTP development has secured its first office tenant, the developers announced late on Wednesday.

Meet Data443 Risk Mitigation, Inc., a publicly-traded company that will become the first tenant at the Horseshoe development at Hub RTP.

“Our mission is to organize the world’s information by identifying and protecting all sensitive data regardless of location, platform, or format. It is an ambitious undertaking that requires a lot of energy and top talent to succeed,” said Data443 President and CEO Jason Remillard in a statement.

The company will move its headquarters location to Hub RTP from elsewhere in the Research Triangle region.  And, according to Remillard, their headquarters relocation will help promote the company’s brand, recruit top talent, and maintain competitive edge.  The company plans to expand in the region, as well.

“White Point welcomes Data443 as the first tenant of our mixed-use Horseshoe at Hub RTP project. Horseshoe is central to the rebirth of Hub RTP as Research Triangle Park’s lively ‘downtown,’ and we look forward to having more like-minded, innovative and technology-driven companies join Data443 in calling Horseshoe home,” said Jay Levell, co-founder of White Point, the developer of the Horseshoe at Hub RTP, in a statement.

Wednesday’s announcement follows the groundbreaking at the development, held on October 18.

The development is named the “Horseshoe” because it is both shaped like the letter “U” when seen from an aerial view, and also “signifies RTP’s history as a brain magnet,” a statement from the Research Triangle Foundation noted.

Construction is anticipated to be complete in 2024 and the development will provide approximately 160,000 square feet of mixed-use space with a centralized outdoor courtyard.  Other outdoor amenities are expected to be constructed as a part of the development, as well as a connection to the existing trail system in Research Triangle Park.

Future of the Triangle runs through Hub RTP, will require collaboration, leadership, says RTP exec at event
